Index Marine manufacture an extensive range of waterproof cable glands which meet the requirements for every type of electrical and electronic installation. Made from anodised aluminium, they are easy to install and create an effective barrier against the ingress of water. All models are simply fitted to the deck or bulkhead with self tapping screws. Full instructions, fixing screws, gaskets, seals and a sealing cap for use when the cables are removed, are included with each gland.
The split seal range of single cable glands, allows a cable with a fixed connector fitted to be passed through the deck, without the need to cut the cable. The glands have a tapered body and seal. The seal is slit between the outside and inside diameters to enable easy assembly on the cable, and the tapered seal ensures that the slit closes completely, creating a watertight seal round the cable. Ideal for VHF, Satnav, GPS and Radar.
