Description

Owatrol Corrosive Inhibiting Primer

CIP (Corrosive Inhibiting Primer) is a non toxic, coloured anti-corrosive primer that possess the penetrating properties of Owatrol Oil with the added benefit that it may be over coated with any coating from an ordinary decorative paint to a high solvent finish (urethane, epoxy, chlorinated rubber etc) without risk of it dissolving.

Simple and easy to use it may be applied by brush, roller or spray with minimal preparation. CIP stabilises the surface penetrating deep into the substrate, driving out excess moisture and air to form a solid stable layer that other coatings can firmly adhere to. CIP adheres exceptionally well to clean, bright metal.

Suitable for interior and exterior surfaces, CIP is ideal in difficult conditions such as Tropical or Marine climates and where a high resistant finish is to be applied or necessary.

CIP maybe used on new or rusted metal and is especially recommended for the protection of cars, civil engineering and marine equipment, nautical ballast tanks as well as every day items such as metal railings and gates.

  • Properties: Polytrol, which does not contain any silicones or waxes, is the quick, simple and easy way to restore colour to any faded surface whether it is plastic, GRP or metal. Polytrol, which is much “wetter” than water, easily penetrates, into even the smallest pores of the surface being treated; re-wetting the pigment, it restores the colour and lustre; then dries
  • Polytrol restores colour and shine to fibreglass and many other surfaces, such as GRP boat hulls, plastic car bumpers, plastic garden furniture, slate tiles and other porous surfaces. Flat and chalky paint work, is rejuvenated while polished metals such as Chrome, have their sparkle restored. Oxidised aluminium is restored to its former lustre
