Gul

Since 1967, Gul has been leading the development of British surfing heritage. Gul began when a local surfer Dennis Cross, decided there must be a warmer way to enjoy the Atlantic swells. In the back of his camper at Fistral beach. Dennis made the first custom built two piece wetsuit. These first suits were made from heavy industrial rubber used to make gaskets for engineering and weren’t the most flexible garments. Dennis’ wife Rose put her head to machine stitching all the suits, along with Bessie Doc, who worked for the growing company for over 30 years. From Dennis’ original passion for waves, today Gul continue his enthusiasm by being totally involved in the growth of the British surf scene. Our support for up and coming rippers, along with their involvement with Surfers Against Sewage, the British Surfing Association, BPSA competitions and providing kit for the British Surf Team allows us to play a big part in all aspects of British surfing.
