Boomstrut for Boats up to 6m
The Boomstrut is a system designed to support the boom. The light weight, low profile design features two coated flexible fibreglass rods which provide the force to support the boom. Pulling the boom down causes the Boomstrut to flex upwards, releasing straightens the rods thereby lifting the boom.
Quality Construction
The Boomstrut comes in a complete kit ready to install and utilises
your current kicking strap tackle. There is no requirement to replace existing hardware, just fit the Boomstrut and remove the topping lift. The boom fitting is contoured to fit both round and flat booms and the mast fitting can slide in most luff grooves to avoid drilling.
Operating Principle
The 2 fibreglass rods are designed to have enough back pressure to support the weight of both boom and mainsail.
